OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 class 1 för baby 0-3 years
Many of ImseVimse products are certified according to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100, class 1 for baby 0-3 years. OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 is an independent testing and certification system for textile products at all stages of production. OEKO-TEX® covers the production processes itself and includes the finishing. It certifies all types of fabrics but also includes thread, press buttons, elastics, labels etc. Our products that fulfill these requirements have an OEKO-TEX® sticker on the backside with ImseVimse certification number SE 12-208.

UV-clothing are designed with fabrics that are rated for its level of UV-protection. Factors that contribute to the UPF rating of a fabric are:
• Composition of the yarns. There is no chemical process used, the UPF protection rating is achieved by Carvico’s fabric thanks to the construction and quality of the yarns used.
• Tightness of the weave or knit (tighter improves the rating)
• Colour (darker colours are generally better)
• Stretch (more stretch lowers the rating)
• Moisture (many fabrics have lower ratings when wet)
UPF50+ (Australian Standard, ARPANSA Agency)
A garment with a UPF of 50 only allows 1/50th of the UV radiation falling
on the surface of the garment to pass through it. In other words, it blocks
49/50ths or 98% of the UV radiation.
UPF testing involves exposing a fabric to ultraviolet radiation (UVR) and measuring how much is transmitted through the sample. Different wavelengths of radiation in the UVR spectrum have different effects on human skin and this is taken into consideration when calculating the UPF rating.
Fabrics tested according to UV801, means a more reliable UPF factor,
where the fabrics are tested in wet and stretched conditions.
In case of clothing, the stretching of a fabric during wear, moisture from
perspiration or water and wear during use, affect the sun protection factor
and is taken into consideration.
Furthermore, the sun protection factor is also affected during and after care of the textile. The textile material is therefore laundered as part of the test and wet during measurement and stretched.
